Cebu-Mactan Bridge
(4th Bridge) and Coastal Road
The Cebu–Mactan 4th Bridge is a major infrastructure project designed to connect Cebu City and Mactan Island, easing traffic congestion on the existing Marcelo Fernan and Mactan-Mandaue bridges. The project includes the construction of a 3.3-kilometer cable-stayed bridge, viaducts, and approach roads. Funded through a Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) loan, it forms part of the Cebu Integrated Intermodal Transport System. Once completed, it is expected to significantly improve mobility, support economic growth in Metro Cebu, and provide a more resilient transport link between the island’s leading commercial and tourism hubs.
